Not got a clue how to make maps, i am a wargamer who would love to make historical maps for our clubs website,so hello everybody on this forum and can anybody start me off in the right direction on this place i will be very happy to take sound advice

Welcome to the Guild. As Vellum stated there are many many resources available here to help you get started. Once you have read through a few tutorials post your work in the relevant forum section and ask for feedback. It's a great way to get suggestions and ideas. I look forward to seeing your work
Finished Maps
Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
