    Welcome to the Guild! There are lots of helpful techniques to be found in the tutorials forum, you should check it out. Post your map in the WIP section and I am sure you will get a lot of positive feedback.

    "Not sucky" is an admirable goal. Welcome

    Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

    Welcome 4ack! As with everything else, practice is required to do good cartography. That said, I happen to think that by following the tutorials here you will definitely be able to achieve "not sucky" maps without too much effort.
