I am new to map making and my husband told me this was a good place to come learn and share things. I got interested in map making when i started looking for maps for my gaming sessions. Some of the maps out there really peaked my interest in learning to make them.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
