Greetings from Vienna
Hallo everyone,
I'm from austria and my english is not as good as i want it to be :(
This Com was linked in an email from a reale nice member of the site.
I told her some questions about her maps on her own homepage and
she recommended this page. (Her Nickname: Schattenherz)
I'm a student of geography at the university of vienna. So I am in
a need of using GIS-Software (just like ArcGIS 10 from Esri).
From now on we will see how much i can learn from the com and how
much i can introduce to the com. I've already looked up some maps
shown on this page an they are very nice, only grafic-maps without
geo-data realy nice work :)
I think thats enough for the moment,

Welcome Nathalem, You can buy ArcGIS but it is very expensive. If you want to try free software - not as good but ok - then you can download QuantumGIS or QGIS (Welcome to the Quantum GIS Project). It covers many of the features of ArcGIS and its something to play with to get used to the areas of GIS software.

Hihi, yeah i know,
but im still studying and so i get arcgis for professional work around 15 € :)
and everything we do in the lessions is based on arcgis -.-
I will give Quantum GIS a chance, but it needs time to get into it,....so for
now as long as i can get arcgis for nearly nothing i will take this....but thanks
for your advice :)
