    Default Who am I

    Dear all,
my name is Matteo and I live in Italy, since I work in Roma but my family place is a small town close to Firenze (Impruneta, actually I also have a website dedicated to my place, La Commenda Holiday House). I am a researcher in physics, but I had a long training in humanities and I really love to create maps: they allow me to dream about better worlds, with small clean and well kept towns, beautiful cities and wanderful landscapes. And... that's all!

    Welcome to the Guild

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

Welcome to the Guild Matteo! Sounds like you have found the right place to pursue your love of world creation. There are plenty of tutorials here to help you get a grip on the technical side of digital map making, so dive right in.

    Cheers,
    -Arsheesh
