Well... I searched fantasy maps on the internet and came across http://sorol.wikispaces.com/Sorolpedia one evening and was stunned at the amazing maps. I had never seen anything like that, and it got my maps, painted in Paintt, to resemble something an amateur had painted. But what an inspiration this cartographersguild is. My goal is to do something in the same style now, but it's a tough start because I am a newbie with Photoshop and I also lack in Fractal Terrains. I look forward to spend a lot of hours here, looking at some amazing maps and get a few tips to even make them my self.
My biggest concern right now is how I make hills and mountains look realistic...
