I'm not actually a map-maker myself, but I am a fan of them. I would like to commission a map, and I'd like your advice. Recently I was admitted to the Clarion Science Fiction writing workshop (http://clarion.ucsd.edu/) and I'm hoping to find someone who can help design a map of an imaginary city for me. Hi! I'm new to the program and I'm struggling with it, but I took up to the program to make a map for a forum. But I've found out that making anything acceptable will take a *long* time. So instead of pushing back the forum a few months back, I'm curious if you would be willing to put up The Valley for DL.

Alright, I dont know if Im breaking protocol by asking you directly but you seem to know what your doing, im a complete noob when it comes to programs such as GIMP or photo shop, Ive decided to go with gimp because of the awesome fact that its free but can you point me in the direction of a tutorial that tells me how to use it form a complete beginers stand point, Thank you............Jeremy
