    A couple of tricks (picked up over the course of many years of painting) for choosing color schemes, which I tend to follow not often enough...
    - Use a limited palette/range of colors (and check out the various links on gamut masking by James Gurney in this blog post while you're at it http://www.linesandcolors.com/2011/09/19/james-gurney-on-gamut-masking/)
    - Create a shortcut/favorites folder in your browser titled COLOR SCHEMES (or somesuch) and whenever you find a picture online with colors that intrigue you, drag the link into that folder and use it for inspiration at a later date.
