I just gave it a try, and I got the same message on one image, but not on the others. I suspect that it is, indeed, throwing up some thumbnails from galleries that are set to private.

The end use of the map and who's buying it matter, too. I imagine that Torstan's map for A Song of Ice and Fire paid better than any RPG commission would. Likewise, I'm sure Elissa Mitchell's map...
