No, I didn't know about Mad Hatters. I'll have to look it up. I work at Tech, so I've visited Black Dog a few times, but his clientele mostly play Magic and such, which is just too expensive for me to contemplate getting into. And I think the game shop in the mall has closed.
I've played a fair number of different systems over the years, but nothing really since I moved here 4 years ago. So I'm out of touch with the current game systems. I've tried some online gaming, but it's hard to keep the group together or on a schedule when you don't meet in person. In general I just like games - board, strategy, rpg, computer, etc.
Reading the Gamer thread got me nostalgic for gaming, so I went to the member map to look and see if there were any folks local to me. And lo and behold, there was one! I don't suppose you know of any gaming groups or events in this town, do you? I don't actually live in Lubbock, but I work there.
Even if you don't, it's good to know there's someone nearby with some of the same interests as me.
