Biography:

I am an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University at Galveston, jointly appointed to the Department of General Academics and the Department of Marine Sciences. I have been the Director of the Maritime Studies Program since 2000. I have published a number of articles on Archaeology and Anthropology, and have conducted archaeological research in Kenya (East Africa), Samoa (Polynesia, South Pacific), and Scandinavia. I have received grants from National Geographic, and the Texas A&M Program to Enhance Scholarly and Creative Activities. I am an active member of the American Association of Museums, serving on the Education and Professional Development subcommittees.
