Finished the Tawny Man books and am now working on that first Rain Wilds book. You were right, they were great. In fact, they eased my irritation with the assassin books. Finally it was explained WHY fitz kept being such an idiot. Wonderful.

Well, you know how hard it is to decide on these things. You have to pick something and sort of stick to it or you will never be able to vote. I always find it hard to vote because art is so subjective. It often just comes down to what a person decides to focus on for that day. I do like the fact that yours was different. Not everyone is able to think outside the box that way and I do appreciate that ability. I think sometimes I'm so far out the box people don't even know what I'm talking about, lol.

A warm fuzzy feeling :)

Sometimes I just rejoice in the guild. I love making maps, I actually love it more than I thought I would before I joined the guild. Back then, I just slapped together a map, often an hour before game session. Now I work on maps for hours and hours, and as those of you who knows me, not only maps but also stuff like compasses and tiles. The guild has obviously sparked something in me - deep down in my bones ... but its not only the map making - the forum itself is fantastic, all these beautiful

Mapping in your mind

So I've been playing strategic games since I was about 10-11 years old, the dad of some of the kids I played with introduced me to them, he also taught me to play chess. So the first "real" games where Chariot, Yeoman and other games metioned in the magazine General and Strategy & Tactics. I also played a lot of Blue & Gray (US civil war), which was always played on small 2xletter sized maps - hex maps of course. At the age of 11, when he was introduced to Dungeons & Dragons through some students
