Gimp Brushmakers Guild[1] has been announced officially now[2].
Membership is currently semi-closed. Read the charter[3] at our

  • Gather and publish resources and tutorials on brushmaking, and serve as a repository of Gimp brushmaking knowledge
  • Set standards in high-quality brushmaking, and promoted adherence to those standards
  • Gather quality brushes and reference images, and make them available using open licenses
  • Aid our members in achieving the goals set forth here
So if you are making quality brushes fror gimp and are willing to release them under an open license, drop them a request to join.
