    The Public Domain Review
    I found this amazing site while Stumbling. Lots of goodies for mapping here like this article on Fortification Theory and no doubt a lot more to come. Various images could be handy for mapping ornamentation. If you find other useful mapping material on the Public Domain Review, post a link on this thread and share with the rest of us.

    It also has a good explanation of copyright issues here.
