D.M. Cornish is an Australian author and illustrator who has had a hit with his children's series, The Monster Blood Tattoo. Set in an 17th/18th century world with fantasy elements, Cornish has flavored his world by creating both illustrations and a map for it.
You can find the map at http://www.halfcontinent.com/map/. Its well done and feels like its out of some 18th century atlas. Its not until you zoom in that you begin to get a sense of how vast his world truly is.
