Awesome. I like the third one with the glacier cutting across the snowfield and the nice piedmont ones in the one after or next. Nice one near the end showing how glacier flow is so plastic. Very cool.
If your after some really high res images then the linz.nz has - ohh hugely huge 50K pix stuff down there too.

I'm very glad you posted this. I've been wondering what happens to glaciers when they they hit the sea. Do the shrink, expand, or what. Now I know the answer is "a bunch of different stuff."
Incredible pics! I have a snow scene on a back burner, so these are useful, thanks. Interesting to note that in the high peaks there isn't as much protruding rock as you'd think. It seems snowfields can be pretty virgin over a large expanse. That Ranier shot in the middle is almost exactly what I need. I think I'll just go GoogleMap some Alaskan/Siberian volcanoes now...
