First Try at a digital map
I just begun to work on this map, for a rpg i'm writing with my girlfriend. I decided to do an "Old-School" map, to fit with the setting (late bronze age/early iron age).
It's looking nice! Will be great to see how it turns out. I recommend lightning the sea shade a little more so there is a bit more contrast though!
whoa.. lots of islands inthere... makes it a little overwhelming to look at - but looks nice and I look forward to seing it progressing
i've done some work on the map, mostly shadings and effects, as i want the map to look like it has been made on some sort of bark or papyrus. And i've decided to invert the color between the land and the sea (i realized the darker shade is better where you have less thing to draw), and augmented the contrast.
Wow looks cool very interesting landforms.. Looking forward to watching this.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
