I'm not familiar with Wikipedia having map conventions, but it looks like a good start. Your color scheme is pleasing, and your contours and rivers make sense. Full speed ahead!
Green Port Map, Please criticize as much as possible
This is my map for Green Port (my ns nation) I'm remaking it in Adobe Illustrator.
I'm using Wikipedia conventions for map making.
Please criticize as much as possible, I want it to look great.

I think it is a wonderful map. I also love the colors.
By the shape of your Island. It is wonderfully protected by not only the outer Islands... but the curtain of mountains north, east and south of it. Looks like a fun place.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.
