    Here's my second try at J Swinney's tute. I'm not too happy with the rivers or the text, but overall I'm content with itSecond Try at a Regional Map-island-try-3.jpg

    Simple, clean-looking, and effective. I concur that a more traditional serif font might work better for the text.
