At first when I looked at the map, I couldn't tell the yellow and pink were land. I thought it was all some kind of mana ore deposits!

Thaumatography of the Republic of Desha
I decided I wanted to do something a little different, the magical geography of a country as a modern, thematic map.
The yellow lines are ley lines while the contours represent some sort of mana level or magical intensity. I haven't entirely decided on how the magical physics behind it all works.

Curious. I do not know thaum... so went to a dictionary: thaumato- a combining form meaning “miracle,” “wonder,” used in the formation of compound words: thaumatology. Curiouser and curiouser. An interesting perspective you have given us.
