Thread: [WIP] Fantasy Tropical islands + need some simple palm trees

I'm in the process of making a map of a set of three fantasy tropical islands, and I don't like any of the jungle trees I have available.



The problem I have is that all the trees I have are either the wrong sort or too busy compared to the mountains. (Top left island is pink for working purposes, it'll be grey in the final map)

I was wondering if anyone has the 2011 Cartographer's Annual from Profantasy and could tell me if it has palm or other tropical type trees (maybe post a little example) or could recommend a symbol set?

Also advice on how to represent a dense jungle to go on the little island would be appreciated.
