Er, um, actually, second world map. My first one I built on a friends computer--he had NBOS's Fractal Mapper. Tried it, liked it, but couldn't convert to CC3, which is where I wanted to do my work in.
The world below is Tanis, which is the world campaign I'm working on creating. So far, it's JUST landmasses, generated in Fractal Terrains 1.6, transferred to CC3. I loved the coastlines, but didn't like where FT put the mountains and lowlands--it looked, well, like a fractal map, rather than like a real world.
Next step is figuring out (roughly) where the mountain ranges will be, which means reading up a bit on tectonics.
Told you I'm a masochist.
Oh, the white space top and bottom is from exporting out of CC3--I forgot to trim the pic.
The land masses have some cool shapes. I like it so far.
