Two Worlds in Progress
A pair of planets I've been working on. The first was made using the following tutorial:

And another attempt, this with a different method of texturing (forgot where I found the tutorial, sorry) and with better city lights than my last attempt.

Even if I am correct, I would still advise you to follow your heart. This whole Cartographers Guild thing, it seems to me, is more about passion and skill and learning new techniques than it is about definitions and rules.

Nice. You are making progress on those city lights! I still think they are a bit too crisp, but they DO look like cities now.

Sorry if I wasn't clear about that. I used the tutorial to create the continents and their texturing, then used that product to make the planet itself with the Photoshop 'Spherize' filter.Originally Posted by agentk9
