Thread: Versi Star System

This is my attempt to draw a star system. I am using GIMP 2.6.

To make the sun I made a layer, filled it with the Plasma script. I then used "colorize" to make it all yellow. I then used the Map Object script to make it a sphere. And finally I added the glow by using drop shadow with a washed out yellow, and repeating it a few times, adding to the radios each time. I then moved the drop shadow layer above the sun and adjusted its transparency till it looked right.



The blue line is just a guide so I can have all the main planets set up along that line.
