    Default Prometheus Galaxy

Hi all, just thought i'd post a doodle that turned into a galaxy that i thought i'd work into a map, or a possible faux-board game map. Here's the work I've got done so far:

Looks good - I think I recognize the tutorial on which this design is based (if it is not an original technique, of course).

I agree, such thinks sometimes Pops up and a lot of people suddenly doing the same.

@Vorro: Remember the Heraldy hype half a Year ago? Where are all the Shields now?

Looks great so far! Did you use some sort of radial blur and perspective transform?

yep, it's a tutorial. My first time doing something like this so i thought id start with something step-by-step then once i'm comfortable with that, try something a bit more individual.

Just a tip: If you look at picture of an actual galaxy it does not have an even background of stars. I think you could bump up the realism factor by scattering the stars a bit more far a few between and adding a few smaller but extremely distant galaxies. I realize your image is a start but just something to think about. Great work otherwise!
