Thread: Greetings!

    Default Greetings!

Hi everyone, I was brought here because I became obsessed with figuring out how to draw a world map for my game world (in the works, I'll link in a few weeks as it makes some progress). Thanks so much for the tutorials and discussions. I am having a blast building worlds with GIMP and PS.

Welcome to the Guild! Don't be shy about posting up a work in progress, even if you're just in the sketch stage so far. The help you'll get will get you to where you want to go much faster than if you wait until you have something "ready" to show.

Thanks! I think I will be needing someone outside my bubble to look at my stuff. The more detail I add, the more things I'm sure will get overlooked too.

Yes, of course. There were a few things I had to smooth over and lots of re-learning html to get it working. I've laid down lots of source material and now I am just putting the mechanics together. Here's the link that goes directly to the map. Feel free to check out the setting, too!

Nice use of Ascension's tutorial there, although the image looks a bit stretched for some reason. As to your OP site, you've got a lovely layout and have done nice coding work. However in my browser (using Chrome) the index sidebar overlaps with the banner like so:

Yeah, the sidebar is a bit of a thorn in my side. It's really bad on mobile, too. I may have to find a way to anchor it to the edge somehow.
