    Question Wind and Ocean Currents

How do I construct wind and ocean currents based off a satellite-style map? Does anyone have good beginner-level articles or links on that kind of stuff? I'm about to begin to compile precipitation cahrts, temeratures, etc, and currents play a massive role here. Any help is greatly appreciated!

PS: I don't have tectonic information either.

Unfortunately it is no longer online, but you can still find it on the wayback machine. But the images aren't included.

I previously saved the page, which is kinda clunkly, but the pictures are intact. See the attached PDF.

And don't worry, as long as you are happy with where your mountains/islands are, techtonics aren't needed for any climactic stuff.

EDIT: added the ".webarchive.zip" version, which is prettier, but i think will only open in Safari.

After a quick skimming, this looks great, exactly what I need, thanks! What would I ever do without the Guild?
I can't repute you on my current web browser, but as soon as I hook up in Safari, prepare yourself for a sound repping.

The page has only been moved; its new home is at http://www-users.york.ac.uk/~fc503/geoff/climate.html.
