Map Lovely map of Stratford - Contest Suggestion

    This site:

    http://reference.findtarget.com/sear...ord-upon-Avon/

has a link to this lovely map from 1908. It has windows of interest and a lovely character. I'm just looking at it for a inspiration and I thought I'd share. THIS IS NOT MY WORK. I'm posting it here for their bandwidth and for the lifetime of the posting.

I love the faux 3d and the whole presentation of this obviously drawn map. I may try to ape this style in the entries below.

I think it would be a suitable challenge to create something similar - a map with feature windows and a clear sense of style.

The site above is a copy of the wikipedia entry

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stratford-Upon-Avon

which claims the map is in the public domain. More at this site:

I went to the site and built my own cleaned up version but I'm not sure which I like.

Dollhouse Syndrome = The temptation to turn a map into a picture, obscuring the goal of the image with the appeal of cute, or simply available, parts. Maps have clarity through simplification.
