    Wip my first photoshop map

    i made this map using the tutorial for giveupalready.com. It's the first map for a much larger world, so i was just hoping to get some feedback, so what do you guys think?

    hi spectre - looking really good
    I'd lighten up the ocean a bit to make the land stand out more - one way to do that is to select it and add an adjustment layer (or just go to Image>Adjustments>Hue and saturation).
    And then add some more "nature" to the map - its a bit bare ... but nice first map, and have some rep for that

    It's definitely a good start, not familiar w/that tutorial but it seems to give pretty nice results.

    here is another redo, all I really did was color the trees, but I think it adds a nice touch.

    it does, however the hills seem a little weak in comparison to the other elements, so I'd strengthen the lines and perhaps color those up

    i've actually been trying to color in the other parts to, but i can't get any of them to look right. Any suggestions?

    If you make your paper more to the brown/tan side then you can do the mtns in orange.

    alright i decided to darken the hills as opposed to coloring them in, and colored in the water (which took forever).
