    This from a guy (Andreas Rocha) who said 'I'll try to do better next time' - took him 4 days to paint.

    I've always loved matte painting...There's some phenomenal matte painters over at CGSociety as well. Thats some nice work tho!

    I've always been impressed with the work of the matte painters from the pre-CGI golden era of Hollywood movies and television. The original Star Trek series, for example, had some wonderful matte paintings:
