Default Need a Dark Medieval City Map for a DnD Campaign

    Hello everyone,

I am looking for someone to help me create a map of a town for a DnD game. Unlike most campaigns this one will revolve completely around the town, with no to little action outside the city limits.

There will not be any payment with an exception. I am planning to pitch the idea of my town to WotC (and possibly other publishers) I will then give 10% of the proceeds to the artist. For this reason, I will have the right to use the image for commercial purposes, the artist will have the right to exhibit the image as part of his portfolio but not to exploit it for commercial gain.

The timeline for this project will be 2-6 weeks, as I would like to have the map by summer, although I am fairly flexible.

The work I am looking for will be of professional quality, sized to about 12 by 10, and will be required for print.

The style that I am looking for is similiar to an official DnD map, although a darker tone to fit the world would be appreciated. I have uploaded something similar to what I am looking for. I do like the parchment , sketched look of maps and would prefer something along those lines.

The setting is dark, horror, and medieval. Here is a description of the town that I gave to my players:

There is a city, or so the whispers say, where there are no heroes.
Where adventurers are devoured, and where there is no light of hope.
Many have set out to the west in search of this city. Past the Searing
Plains, between twin mountain ranges that have never been climbed
there is a valley. If you manage to make it through the the the Wilds,
where even the great wyrms fear to stay, you will find this city. Set
against a vast mountain range, and on top of great tear in the earth.
It is here where races once considered feral, live together. In this
city, it is not humans or elves who rule, or even the stout dwarves.
In this city it is not even the orcs, goblins, or the undead that
threaten the eastern lands. In this city it is the more monstrous
denizens of the world that build their monuments. The Savage
Minotaurs, feral Ogres, and great Ettins make their home here. The
serpentine Naga build towers with vast vaults to horde their mystical
knowledge. Great Eyed Beholders and Cyclops worship viscous elemental
gods, and the Enormous Giants and Titans of legend build their
    fortresses out of black obsidian.

It is here where danger lurks all around, and heroes are needed, that
they do not exist. For the humane races of the world to wish for
anything more than survival and slavery is unheard of in this place.

This is Death. This is Despair. This is Draken Hold.

I am uploaded is my own feeble attempt at putting a slight layout to the city, along with some important landmarks and areas (which I have more description for if it is desired).

I will give more information to the artist or upon request before a commission is taken.

Thank you for reading this and considering my proposal.

I really like the description of this city and the sketch you've done. I'd like to take a crack at this if no one else is going to. Can you give me more details on the sections of the city and the landmarks?

Either way is fine. I kind of like the community on this site. Maybe posting it here is better that way everyone can contribute to the development with their ideas. Up to you really.

I marked it as Paid? - Taken because we don't have an Other - Taken tag.
