    Default Hi all

Thought I'd better do the right things and intro myself.
I have a small local guide website and decided I'll do my own custom mapping, after a lot of searching here and there I have ended up here and it looks good. Gimp, Inkscape

I'm a long term debian linux user and a new gimp/inkscape user.

By the way I'm in Grass Valley Western Australia

    Cheers

Welcome, you can stick a vague pin into the members map and bolster the Aus army. The link is in the community tab or here:

Theres a few people who use non windows stuff around here. I use several OS'es inc ubuntu too but Im no linux guru. Another interesting thing is that Xara is free for Linux but not windows so you can check that out too. Its a long time paint package which seems to handle raster and vector very well.

No worries everyone, and thanks for the welcome.

...and I'll go stick a pin for the Land of Oz.

I'll have a look at Xara, most of my requirements are fairly simple and inkscape has more dials and buttons then I need, Cheers.
