    Help Hello

I need to find beginner's tutorials. In my previous life I have worked with everything from pen and ink to computers (mapping" software systems) but l remain a "hand-drawn" artist at heart. My ambition is to produce "antique" fantasy maps. Also, I certainly would like to learn more about the Guild. --ratherbee

First, Welcome to the guild. Looking forward to seeing some posts from you.

Second, Check out the Tutorial section, there is a ton of stuff.

This intro kind of reminded me that I'm not sure if our Tutorials are ranked in any way. We should think about tagging them as Beginner, Intermediate and advanced or something.

I've been discussing such things with the other CLs but we've reached no conclusions yet. I may just go through and tag everything anyway (when I get the time) as the popular consensus is for searchable tags as opposed to splitting things up into categories. Now we just need to come up with a list of tags to implement. That's what we do. By the way, welcome aboard.

    Default Welcome

Welcome to the guild ratherbee! You should checkout the Quickstart Guide to Fantasy Mapping. Two great tutorials from the top of my head are: Ascension's Antique-style maps in Photoshop and Gidde's Hand-Drawn Mapping (for the Artistically Challenged). There are many more awesome tutorials in the Guild.
