    Default Good Night Frank.

Just heard that Frank Frazetta died on May 10th, this year.

He was one of the icons of 70's / 80's fantasy art.

owh, didn't read it yet. Really too bad, he did some brilliant pieces ... I definitely have to look into some of my old fantasy artbooks to marvel over those again .... thanks for posting

I didn't know he had died either but I certainly remember those pics. :-/

I thought I had dreamt it way back but I guess I didn't. Definitively the most influential artist in the genre. I watched a program on him on the Ovation channel some time ago and it was very interesting. I started my dancing girl after that show as an homage to him so I guess I had better finish it.

Yeah, it was a sad day for fans and artists alike. Heavy Metal magazine (September issue) has a nice little two page article detailing some of the highlights of his career. Of all the fantasy and sci-fi artists out there, he was, by and far, my favorite.

he will be missed - he made some great art - and I'm guessing that all of us (at least those over 30) have seen his art and been inspired to read and play and draw.
