Thread: August/September Entry: The Hallowed Lakes of Caprion

Default August/September Entry: The Hallowed Lakes of Caprion

Since I've been MIA for a while, I thought I'd come back and hit up a challenge. It seems that most everyone is going the island/continent route, so I figured I'd go the opposite direction. I've got plenty of time to finish this, I think.... I'm just more worried about the inclination.

Looks great already. I really like the terrain rippling you've got going on there but I LOVE the titling...simply awesome and grungy.

Fantastic color scheme too. Once the main challenge finishes I'll try to get back to this one myself. I'm falling asleep in my chair hoping for a second wind but I don't think it's coming. I guess I'll hit the sack about 3 hours early tonight...for me anyway. Man I can't wait for Winter, I can stay up ALL night then.

Very good start. I also love the colors you've used. The font is a bit hard to read IMO.

Thanks for the comments, guys! Here's an update... nothing but a bit of labeling, really.

Another update. I love Ramah's town icons, but I'm still not sure if they're right for this map.

They're awesome icons but I agree that they don't really fit the style...too crisp. What if you maybe tried "watercolor" or another artistic filter on them?
