    Default ASCII map

This map comes from Dwarve Fortress, a rpg/strategic game for linux, with a console interface : all the graphics are made in ASCII, including the maps!

And for now we have a new style in addition to our other styles, haha. No, makes a good job indeed. Not, that I'm going to print it and hang it on my wall, but for the purpose for which it was made, it is just fine.

Strictly speaking, that character set is not ASCII, it's a superset of ASCII called IBM code page 437

Oh, ASCII. Very fun. I've been considering making an ASCII map myself recently because I discovered a really fun "painting" program which anyone who is interested in doing so should check out. It is called ASCII Paint and it works like a traditional paint program only your brushes are ASCII characters.
