Default September-October Challenge: 21st Century Manhattan, 19th Century Style

Nothing really mind-blowing here, just gonna do up a map of modern-day manhattan, in the style of a 19th century map

    Starting with the coastlines....

Started in on the roads, and perfectionism reared its ugly head! Turns out my arbitrary decision of size for the map doesn't allow for the level of detail I'd like to have, so I'm going to scale it down to just the Lower Manhattan area, with the possibility of making Midtown and Upper Manhattan maps afterwards.

Woohoo, started over for the third (and it better be the final!) time :p Resized the map, scaled it down to just lower Manhattan, which somehow meant making the map itself bigger.... And slapped on a title box! But the text is blah.

Hmm is there still a limit on the maximum dimensions of an image? Can't seem to upload the wip

there is a dimension limit and a filesize limit - but can't really remember the dimensions.. but the filesize is about 4,something Mb.

Yeah, the file size limit is 4.5 Mb, that's definitely not the issue I seem to recall there was a megapixel limit or something like that, but the upload manager has no limits listed for the max dimensions....

Edit: Apologies, Moutarde, I thought I was posting this on the challenge main thread, not your WIP thread.
