    Wip September-October Challenge:Antique Playing Cards

I went looking through some mapping books for some inspiration on this challenge and ran into some playing cards printed in 1676. Here I have done a very rough mock up of a single playing card. I plan to select one neighborhood from each Borough and put all five on a single map. This was done in CC3/ City Designer Pro.

    anyway, here's the mock up:

I have to say, that's one of the more unique approaches so far, good luck with it!

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Here's an update - not as much progress as I had hoped, but the street maps turned out to me too much information for the small format so I switched to neighborhood outlines.

hmmm.. .the street maps had a cooler look in my opinion - perhaps if you outline the neighbourhoods?

    Wip More progress

I think I have settled on the style, prolly some tweeks left, but I am thinking I am pretty close. Thanks for the input on the street map idea, i really bounced it around a while and I think it would be too busy or not give due justice to the neighborhood. Anyway i appreciate the suggestions, and any more that are out there.
