    Default Hi from Pflugerville, Texas

I'm not a cartographer and don't know if I will be around long. I was searching for information on making mountains with Paintshop Pro/Gimp and found a link to your forum but could not see any images then I found jfrazierjr's post about the tutorial he made and to see the tutorial I had to become a member so I did. I will hang around a while and who knows I may find a new hobbies even though I don't have enough time even being retired for the hobbies I have now. Jewelery making, computers, digital art, music, riding my maxi scooter, taking long rides just to drive, teaching about making free web sites and making web sites just to name a few.

Well, welcome to the Guild...even if it's only temporary! If you do take an interest in mapmaking you've certainly got a lot of great ones around here to learn from. if you have time you should check out some of the other tutorials to see if anything strikes your fancy. You'd be surprised how simple some of the techniques are once you learn them.

welcome, agree with jtougas, a loong list of hobbies... and cartography is a time consuming one ... although if you get the "carto-bug" - you'll gladly spend those hours
