It's just a texture added to a much-blurred brown layer.

    Looks like someones brain

Your map turned out quite nicely, not usually a fan of 'bright' colors but they work well here.

I don't normally like really bright either but I wanted this to be fairly realistic. And these are actually toned-down from how it was when I first started making it.

Wow, nice local map. I dig the style. Have some rep.!

    [totally OT]
Btw, not sure if you are THAT Tensen, but if you are : what happened to your Burning Wheel of Time project? I really liked the idea and what i saw on your blog was nicely done. I always hoped to see this fleshed out...

I am, in fact, THAT Tensen, yes.

It's not dead, I've just had many more things on my plate in the last while. Maybe when I finally pick up the most recent book or get a copy of the d20 RPG I'll start working on it again. I do plan on finishing it though, it's just on hiatus until I have time and inspiration.

What's on the blog is my most up-to-date work.

Made a black & white more wallet friendly version.

Hopefully everything still reads as what it's supposed to be.

This is supposed to be printed 11x17 btw.

Jep, still very readable. Looks nice in b/w.

Regarding BWoT - nice to hear that. Looking forward to it. Oh and great work so far.
