That looks real good. I think you could use a Compass Rose as well as a distance legend. Obviously, there has been a lot of time spent in this world and it shows.

Ooooh, nice! Really inventive names. The only things I'd do is like Jax said, add a compass, and also maybe tone down the borders a little; the color overwhelms the terrain a bit.

I'm with D on the border colors but otherwise this is good stuff.

I agree with the previous critiques, but overall a nice job on this.

Actually, I not only intend to put on a compass, but a calendar as well. The only reason I havent put on a distance scale is because Im not sure how many miles I want each of the hexes on the map to represent. Either two days or three days of actual travel time, which I have to figure out how many miles that is.

Thanks on the note for the borders and such, cus I was sorta wondering if they were too strong. I may just reduce the opacity on my borders by 50% or so. I was also thinking of puttint a layer over it to dull everything out. Or make it look more like old time parchment. Thinking of just a mustard yellow, and light brown clouds overlay with about 20% opacity. Not really sure yet.

    Again thanks for the critiques.

very nice graphic background and inventive naming
country colours are very odd to your main colour theme
    maybe undertone them all
but my main critic if you accept it is about your roads and symbols
    they are all pixellised
    use some softer edges
anyway you managed a very well balanced sea/land proportion

I liked that the borders overhwelmed the terrain a bit, but it certainly does detract from all the work I did on the actual terrain. Though, Im not sure how I would make borders, to keep with the color scheme. Any suggestions anyone? I'm still sorta new to mapmaking. or... err photoshop.
