Post La nuova topografia di Roma Comasco

This is by far the nicest historical map of Rome (or of any city, really) that I've found to date. Being made up of 12 big pieces, I stiched them all together in GIMP to get me one huge map. The edges of the scans don't quite match, but the result is still incredibly beautiful. Got to admire the man who drew it by hand, what a masterpiece!

Now that's what I call a city map, holy shnikies! Nice find.

A really superb map and find.

My best shot at stitching. My original is at full res tho and I would advise going to the web site to see it at that res. A work of art to be sure. And wasn't Rome truly great at its zenith !
