Thread: Well, what else could this be?

Default Well, what else could this be?

Hello! I'm Jtheomnipotent, a firm beliver that the letter J is very cool. Hence the name. I AM A BEGINNER TO MAPMAKING! I have GIMP and paint as my tools. I will gratefully accept any advice that you will bestow upon me, however if it is relating to advanced mapmaking be warned-it is unlikely that I will understand. Yes, I know that by the standards of this forum that introduction was very short and choppy. Anyway, Hi!

Ah, you say you are new to mapmaking... how can it be? For are there not a third of a zillion points of geography firmly located in your mind? Do you not have a standard way of getting from point A to C, with an occasional diversion to B and B-prime? Hmmm - must be I do not know the ways of the omnipotent - perhaps you already ARE wherever you need to be, therefore are unused to paths and roadways of the in-between. Speaking as a weakly, dim type of J, it seems to me that you must have the worlds (this and any others you frequent) already mentally geolocated. Putting down on paper or screen what you already have in head ... <waves hand> .... piffle: a mere formality.

Being the omnipotent type of J, you will no doubt progress steadily in this, this, this... mere expression of the already-extant mental mappery. Yea, even to the point of doing so with panache, with gusto, even with verve. Welcome to the guild - we will gladly assist the honing of your map outputting until it matches the unstoppable level of your J-ness.

    ;-)
