Thread: Ajinan Map

    Default Ajinan Map

I'm working on a city map for Super Genius and trying to get the look just right. I'm still not completely happy, especially with the smaller tags. I don' believe the client wants a key, so I'm trying to figure out a way to apply those smaller labels without them leaning at odd angles and curves. Sharing what I already have in the meantime.

The first sketch is the turnover I received from the boss.

The second image is my initial rough, with the roads and builds established.

The final image is Ajinan as it stands now, with the tags that make me crazy to look at..

    Any feedback is appreciated.

I think it looks darn fine except for Thuska Camp and Turuidwash Bay. They seem to have too much bend so I'd reduce that some. Shrug, not much but it's all I could really point to. Otherwise, looks great.

This is looking pretty amazing, I don't think there is anything wrong with the tags you have, all looks great!

Really good. Have you tried to give the vegetation a bit darker stroke? That would match to the buildings IMO...

I really like the style of your map; it reminds me of the town & city maps featured in some of the D&D 3.5e supplements. I can see what you mean about the tags though, it does seem that they could be a bit clearer. Perhaps a clearer font would help. Anyway that aside I really like this map.
