    Default Map a Nation

This has probably been suggested/done before, but what about mapping a country? It could be anything from a dwarven tunnel nation to a traditional fantasy duchy or kingdom, to a far-flung space republic or an alternate history earth country.

Considering how many of us have our own planets, kingdoms, settings etc. This sounds like a great idea !!

I'm always up for a regional-type challenge; seems like we've been very heavy on inside/city type stuff recently.

Its good but could probebly still use some sort of hook or twist. Definatly been heavy on the city and smaller maps recently.

I vote "nay" on the grounds that this is too wide open - there needs to be some sort of twist, theme, topic, what have you, in my eyes.

I agree with Bartmoss that it needs a twist. Something like "each country is required to be a maximum of 15 miles across with some significant physical landmark" to allow for lots of creativity.

It is pretty general, but a good idea nonetheless.

The simplest challenges get the most entrants. Ones that are twisty usually end up as difficult and confusing thus fewer folks give 'er a go. More challenging, sure, and more fun as well but these simple ones allow for such wide open interpretations as get a wider variety.

Nice idea. Ascension is right about challenges - I always want to take part in one of this, by they were too specific and difficult for me.

I still think it should have some sort of theme or topic, or else where is the challenge? If there's no limitation, theme, topic, whatever, we might as well just have a challenge titled "Draw a map".
