    Default Hola from Spain.

    I'm an Englishmen living in sunny Spain for the last 10 years.
    I'm currently writing a fantasy novel and have done a few maps to go along with it, but since I'm not really an artist and I din't have any programs to use yet (only Paint, and good ol'hand drawn) I was looking for pointers on techniques and the like. I have...Coral (?) on my Pc at work, so I might be able to dabble with that every now and then.
    So anyway enough from me. Hello all!

    Hello and welcome to the Guild! I'd recommend Gimp over Paint Just go on over to www.gimp.org and download it, it's free. Then come back over here and check out some of the great Gimp tutorials on the site, like RobA's regional artistic map. The tutorials will both get you started mapping and introduce you to the software at the same time. Happy Mapping!
