    Default January/February Entry: Devil's Cave

I haven't had much inspiration for this one. I was thinking of doing an old school or another isometric map, but it looks like those areas are well covered. I've decided, instead, to do a cross-section of a cave/lair. I'm going to attempt to show the caves are situated in the earth and give a real feeling for how the chambers are connected. I have no idea if I'll have time to finish by the deadline, but a lot of this is about sharing process.

Attached is the section that I managed to get roughed-out tonight.

Ooh, that looks pretty cool so far. That cave wall looks great.

    Yeah, I'm intrigued.

    Wip January/February Entry: Devil's Cave

I worked on this a little more today. There are going to be three entrances to the cave. One on the cliff face, one on the top of the peak, and one entrance through a large cave and an underground river.

There's only one lonely tree on the top. I'll add more as I go along.

I see lil ant-dudes swarming out of here to menace the nearby forests.

I love this. Do you have a little plan-view map of the caverns made up?

A top down view? No. I'll be lucky if I have time to finish the cut-away map before the challenge is over.

I decided that nighttime is spookier than daytime.
