Default Aerial Photos of the Rockies

I recently flew over the Rocky Mountains on an extremely clear day and took numerous photos of the mountains for my reference file. I thought I would post them here in case anyone else might find them useful.

Yeah, man. Thanks. I've been wanting to do this myself ever since I went to a con in Vegas in 97. I'm taking my nieces there this summer so I was planning on doing it then (if I can get the window seat away from them). But since you beat me to it I won't have to fight 'em.

They make you turn off electronics during take off and landing so that the pilot can communicate with the tower but during the flight it's ok.

Great ref pics! It's funny cos if I'd made those in the foreground of the last pic, I'd be a little critical that they looked a little unreal because the valleys are so equally spaced Well, I say a little....:-D I'd be pretty happy with em. I sometimes look at my terrain and think, that doesn't look quite right. Take this pic:

The glacial runs look like motorways and I have a few of those in my terrain, and coincidentally I've even got the east west glacial valley running just behind the bank of hills in the foreground- I thought that that feature was fighting against the natural flow of the landscape, and I was going to erase it, but it's here in rl!

I am glad you guys liked them. I thought they turned out really nice. So often when I fly, I can't see anything but clouds out the window. Here are a few more that are similar but still show slightly different areas.
