I read a good post over at ImJustcreative that discusses the businessy side of logo design.

Many of the points are applicable to anyone taking any "artistic" commission, so I figured I'd pass it on.

(The logo portfolio is also worth a look!)

Nice read. It's somehow comforting to know we aren't the only ones who have to deal with the stress of this. Plus, they have some good points.

I've had my share of clients running from the bill - or dropping out in the middle of a job. Sometimes you just get that bad apple. I'm trying not to let it get to me and just hope that karma really exists

I was thinking about this whole issue and I guess you need to have the philosophy like, "It's better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all." In other words, it is better to be able to do your art and share it with the world than it is to protect it and never have it see the light of day. Hopefully, you will be able to make ends meet.
