    Post Hullo there everyone

Hullo there, after lurking for a while I thought it was time to say Hi (and ask a question).

I have very little actual skills required to make maps but I'm hoping my enthusiasm will pull me though till I get some actual skills. Watch this space!

I need maps for my group's RPG. Fantasy based. From large scale to small (eventually). I've already started on RobA's super tutorial and have been inspired by soooooooo many of the maps here. I just want to say to you guys + gals - WOW!

My plan - create global map, zoom in and focus on a continent then a few main smaller areas. Flesh out where + when needed. Easy

Well I'll get make to learning (lurking) some more.

    See ya.

PS I'll post my question in the relevent room

    Post Thanks

Thanks people. You lot seem a friendly bunch

With 2 young kids I don't have much time to devote to this with all the other stuff I do but will let you have a look when I have something (vaguely decent).

    Thanks again.

Hi! and welcome. Glad you like the tut!

Another (hopefully helpful) tip is to use this technique to progressive add more details at high zoom levels.

Hi Rob, already got it and tried it. Works lovely! I think I've got most of the tutorials on this site! Just need about a zillion years to practice. But got to start somewhere.

I'll post up my attempts when I get somewhere.

    Cheers.
